Umuahia- PDP chieftain, Senator Enyinnaya Abaribe, says Governor Theodore Orji’s dumping of PPA and the face-off with his political mentor, Chief Orji Uzor Kalu, has vindicated him and his party, the PDP, that the state was in bondage of one man and family.
According to Abaribe, believed to be interested in contesting the 2011 governorship election in the state, what is happening in PPA and Abia State only justifies the saying that â€what comes around goes aroundâ€.
He said that the governor had always denied that the state was in bondage of his political mentor and family, which had held down the development of the state, saying that but the truth has eventually come out.
Abaribe, who spoke through his media aide, Chibuzo Nwogu, said it was sad that the governor acknowledged this very late after a lot of avoidable hardship was meted to Abia people in the last three years of his administration.
According to him, the governor’s defection to APGA is an indication that PPA was a failed party which has held the state back in the area of development. The development, he said, is an end to political merchants, as according to him, the people of Abia State will vote and protect their votes for a brand new state.
