LAGOS—FORMER Senate President, Anyim Pius Anyim, will  Thursday chair a seminar which seeks to create a deeper understanding of taxation and business rules in Lagos.

The event, with the theme Impact and Implications of New Government Reform Initiative on Private Sector Businesses, is being organised by Igbo intellectual group, Aka Ikenga. 

President of the association, Dr. Sylvan Ebigwei, said the goal of the seminar was “to ensure that Igbo people doing business in Lagos have a good understanding of some of the key reform initiatives of the Federal Government and that of the Lagos State government.

“We recognise that the initiatives will either impact positively or negatively on Igbo businesses. So our people need to be prepared to exploit emerging opportunities.”
