Standard Chartered transforms retail banking segment

Standard Chartered Bank Plc has undertaken a transformation of its retail banking services to deliver high quality and specialised services tailored to the specific needs of its customers.

To, this end, the bank has announced a relaunch of its Priority Banking offering that is designed to provide wholesome and high quality banking services to its customers across the different segment of the society.

Speaking during the relaunch of the offering and launch of the Standard Chartered Priority Banking Visa Infinite Card, Managing Director of the bank, Mr. Christopher Knight the offering is consistent with the bank’s goal of becoming a fully customer centric institution.

He added that the bank takes pride in properly defining, understanding and meeting the needs of its customers.
According to him, the Priority Banking offering also recognises that the bank’s target customers are increasingly better informed and that these individuals would typically seek convenience and value in their banking relationships as many have been exposed to very high standards in their travels and relationships with banks around the world.

He noted that the Priority Banking package is structured around the conviction that individual needs change just as lifestyles do, adding that the Package is therefore structured to meet the changing lifestyle needs of the Bank’s customers.
He said, “At Standard Chartered Bank, we constantly strive to provide products that add value to our customers and symbolise our new brand promise — Here for good.

“The Priority Bank offering is a product that amplifies our commitment to this brand promise. It’s a product that’s tailor made to suit the lifestyle of the target customers catering to their peculiar banking and lifestyle needs”

Speaking about the product, Mrs. Carol Oyedeji, Regional Head, Consumer Banking, West Africa for Standard Chartered Bank said. “Priority Bank Account holders have access to a bundle of banking and lifestyle benefits.

“The key components of the package are guided by three tenets. These are Privileged Service, Unique Benefits and Expert Solutions.

Each tenet represents a common area where we find that our customers commonly express their needs and wishes for a fulfilling banking relationship.

“Under our Privileged Service each Priority Banking customer gets a dedicated Relationship Manager. The customer also has access to expedited service delivered in the comfort of our exclusive Priority lounges.

“A Priority Banking customer also has access to offshore investment products available through the bank’s network.
The unique Benefits available to Priority customers simply gives them access to bespoke benefits tailored to their individual needs. This access is also extended to the household members of the account holders.In simple terms, immediate family members can enjoy the benefits available to the principal Priority Banking Customer by extension.”

The Priority Package also includes the offer of Expert Opinion to the Bank’s customers delivered by knowledgeable and highly skilled Relationship Managers. This is executed through a suite of integrated products as the Priority Mortgage, Priority Visa Infinite Cards, Insurance Services and the Wealth Management Suite.
