The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, yesterday quizzed two aides of business mogul Chief Mike Adenuga over their involvement in the alleged 17.5million Euros Siemens scam that has led to the interrogations of over 14 prominent Nigerians in the last three weeks. Â
The two aides interviewed by EFCC operatives were Mrs Gladys Alabi and Mike Jitubo both Executive Directors of the Communications giant Globacom.  Both got to the headquarters of the commission at about 10.am.
According to a source close to the anti-graft agency, Chief Adenuga had sent in a letter appealing to the body that he was on a national assignment to South Africa that as soon as he arrives he would submit himself for scrutiny to the operatives.
Also grilled yesterday were former Legal Adviser Ministry of Finance, Mrs. Agbamuche, former Legal Adviser Nigerian Telecommunications (NITEL) Daba Jubrin and a former NITEL staff R. Olusanju.
Already EFCC has grilled Siemens Managing Director Alain DeCat, Tunde Orija Siemens General Manager Finance & Accounts, Ralf Henrich Managing Director C. Woermann Nig. Ltd and Olusegun Olaniyi Chief Accountant C.Woermann Nig. Ltd.
Three former Ministers of Communication have also officially made statements before EFCC. They are Current Deputy National Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Haliru Bello Mohammed, Retired Major General Tajudeen Olanrewaju and Chief Cornelius Adebayo.
Also, ten serving and former public officials in Nigerian Telecommunications (NITEL), Mobile Telecommunications (Mtel), Power Holding Company of Nigeria (PHCN) and the Ministry of Power & Steel were quizzed.
When contacted, Head, Media and Publicity, of the anti-graft body, Mr Femi Babafemi confirmed to Saturday Vanguard that their operatives interrogated the invitees.
