Yobe AC guber candidate decamps to ANPP

By Bala Ajiya

DAMATURU — The  gubernatorial candidate of the Action Congress, AC, in Yobe State, Alhaji Tijjani Musa Tumsah,  has dumped the political platform on which he contested the governorship seat of 2007 for the All Nigeria People’s Party, ANPP.

Tumsah, who spoke with newsmen in Damaturu said: “The AC could no longer provide a credible platform for me and my supporters. The party cannot make any progress in the state.”

Reacting to the criticism of his incessant defection first, from ANPP to PDP, then AC and now back to ANPP, he said persistent feud within the fold of the PDP compelled him to defect to AC and now back at ANPP which he left in 2000.

He said he was now embracing the ANPP being the only party accepted by majority of the people in the state, adding that he will prefer to go with the majority politically for the growth of the state and advancement of democracy.

Tumsah was one of the foundation members of ANPP in the state and has been junketing different political parties to realise his governorship ambition.
