African insurance industry slows to IFRS deadline
With the 2012 deadline for the adoption of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) by companies around the world getting closer, African insurance industry may be left behind if the various countries have not started preparation towards meeting the deadline as the continent operators are slow to adopting the accounting practice.
Macebuh for burial in April
The tentative plan for the funeral rites of the veteran journalist, Dr. Stanley Nkwachukwu Macebuh, shows that his remains will be interred in the grounds of his country home in Umuiku village, Ozar East, Ukwa West Local Government Area of Abia State on or before the last week of April.
