By Emmanuel Aziken

ABUJA— Mr. Donald Omorodion who was nominated to represent Edo State on the board of the Niger Delta Development Commission, NDDC, has rebuffed the petition of two of the three senators from the state opposing his nomination.

The nominee in his response to the petition against him presented to the Senate Committee on Niger Delta yesterday affirmed his eligibility being an indigene of an oil producing area and the appropriateness of his double employment while in the United States.

He also rebuffed the allegation by the senators that he did not partake in the compulsory National Youth Service scheme after his tertiary education.

Senators Odion Ugbesia (PDP, Edo Central) and Yisa Braimoh had in a petition expressed their opposition to the nomination on the ground that they were not consulted even as they cast doubts on his credibility for the job.
