HUNDREDS of travellers were Saturday held up at the end Asaba end of the Niger Bridge Head for several hours by security agents during yesterday’s gubernatorial election in Anambra state.

Despite all the preparations by the Independent National Electoral Commission, assurances and promises, the scheduled Anambra polls was still marred by irregularities as most wards received both sensitive and non-sensitive electoral materials late on Saturday.

The police authorities have decided to release the official report on their investigation into the case of money laundering involving top officials of the Anambra State government. According to Police sources “the official report would be issued by the office of the Inspector General of Police, Ogbonna Onovo.”
