PORT HARCOURT — Rivers State police command has announced a N2 million reward for anyone who could come up with information that would lead to the arrest of killers of former member of the State House of Assembly, Mr. Charles Nsiegbe.
This comes as the police in the state has arrested 16 persons in connection with last Monday’s shootout between the police and armed robbers, which resulted in the death of two policemen.
Nsiegbe, who was a member of Rivers State’s Public Procurement Bureau, was killed last Friday in Port Harcourt by some persons alleged to be in police uniform.
Police Public Relations Officer in the state, Mrs. Rita Inoma Abbey, who announ-ced the N2 million reward, told newsmen in Port Harcourt that the police would not relent in its efforts until the killers of the former lawmaker were arrested and prosecuted.
Late Nsiegbe was also a former Chairman, Port Harcourt City Council.
