EFCC goes after Ibru, Ebong, Adigwe, others’ assets
While the 16 bank chiefs, sacked two weeks ago by the Central Bank of Nigeria, CBN and no fewer than 68 of their debtors continue to cool their heels either in the agency’s custody or in Ikoyi prisons, strong indications emerged that operatives of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, have concluded plans to seize the assets of the detainees.

In order to get to the root of scams currently being unveiled by the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), the Conference of Nigeria Political Parties (CNPP) yesterday asked the Economic and Financial Crime Commission (EFCC) to thoroughly investigate former President Olusegun Obasanjo, whose economic policy it said, allowed individuals to borrow depositors’ funds to buy State Owned Enterprises.
Delta House orders sack of zonal Medical Director, nurse for negligence
MEMBERS of the Delta State House of Assembly yesterday ordered that the Zonal Medical Director at Ogwashi-Uku General Hospital, Dr. Michael Ogbangwo, and a Staff Nurse, one Mrs. Helen Ofuagbor be sacked for their negligence which eventually led to the death of a patient rushed to the hospital for urgent medical attention.
