Abuja—Alleged moves to sack Prince Vincent Ogbulafor as national chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) could negatively affect the South Eeast quest for the presidency in 2015, Chief Ndidi Okereke, chairman of the Abia state chapter of the party has warned.
Reacting to the alleged moves against Ogbulafor, Okereke said that Ogbulafor’s sack could give the impression of the South East politicians as being unsteady in character and unworthy of national trust.
Ogbulafor is from Abia state and Okereke’s claim is against the backdrop of alleged high turnover in political offices zoned to the South East since 1999.
The state chairman spoke in a telephone interview on the alleged moves directed at easing Ogbulafor out of the top party post ahead of the 2011 general elections.
