Kaduna -  Nigeria Brewery Plc has donated a block of four classrooms with a principal’s office to Government Junior Secondary School, Makera, Kakuri, Kaduna.

The brewery giant also promised to continue to support laudable initiatives of government that are of immense benefit to the people.

Brewery Manager, Mrs Ethel Nwoke, who spoke during the commissioning ceremony said the donation was part of the company’s corporate social responsibility, adding that this was part of the company’s contribution to better the life of its host community.

Apart from the classrooms, Mrs Nwoke said the company had earlier provided solar powered boreholes at Makera, Kakuri and Barnawa respectively and also renovated a block of classrooms at Queen Amina College, Kaduna in addition to a block of 10 classrooms for the Makera Primary school.

According to her, “the classrooms were built using the UNICEF standard for schools, with each of the four classes capable of sitting about 50 students,” adding that an office was also provided for the Principal of the school and her secretary.

Commending the Kaduna State government for providing the company the enabling environment to operate successfully, she expressed confidence that students to be produced by the school would contribute to the development of the nation in future.
