Omotola Jalade Ekeinde has turned out a big catch for Nollywood Give-Back Uganda tour.
The organisers, Nigeria-based Stingomania360, in conjunction with Ugandan Vipaj Africa, were said to have been in negotiation with Omotola for some weeks now.
So, it was a moment to pop champagne when she finally signed the contract on Monday and gave her words that she would be at Uganda between August 20 to 26 to participate in the highly anticipated “Nollywood Give-Back Tourâ€.
The show, which has been generating interest ever since its announcement, got a big boost when Omotola’s inclusion was announced. A lot of people were excited when she also confirmed her readiness to go on the tour and give back to one of the nations of Africa where she is loved.
An unconfirmed report has it that she might be performing some of the songs from her forthcoming album, which has been tentatively titled ‘Feel Alright’.
Omotola said the tour would afford her the opportunity to extend her charitable nature. “Yes, I am glad to be part of the tour. I’ll be joining my other colleagues on the charity tour and be giving one or two talks to the younger generation.
You know, I have soft spot for the youths, and I do a lot of reaching out to them in my own way. This is just going to be an extension of me reaching out to more young people from the beautiful nation, Uganda. So, I will be joining my other colleagues on the tour.â€
CEO of Stingomania360, Mr Ope Banwo, said it was a welcome relief when Omotola finally signed her contract and decided to join her other colleagues to embark on the charity.
