Chime’s aide freed by kidnappers

ENUGU – THE Chief Press Secretary to Governor Sullivan Chime, Mr. Dan Nwomeh, who was abducted from his Independence Layout Enugu residence by suspected kidnappers on July 4, regained his freedom Monday night.

Nwomeh, who was set free after 17 days in captivity, was said to have been released by his abductors in Port Harcourt, River state, Monday night.

He rejoined his family in Enugu yesterday. However, details of his encounter with his abductors were not available at press time yesterday, as Government House statement on his release was being awaited.  But Nwomeh is said to be in good health.
