TOWARDS mitigating the burden of multi-drug-resistant tuberculosis (MDR-TB) in Nigeria, the Federal government in collaboration with the Global TB Partnership and USAID, is conducting a prevalence survey of persons with TB that is resistant to treatment with first-line anti-TB drugs in the country.

It is a landmark survey that covers social, economic, political, ecological, and security issues in the region. It aims to address the information gap on the Niger Delta by providing robust statistical data on the views and opinions of the region’s inhabitants with respect to the pressing issues that affect their daily lives.

AN estimated seven million safe injection commodities worth over N104 million was procured and distributed in

ABUJA -THE Petroleum Technology Development Fund has announced that it has received an approval of about N15 billion for the upgrade of facilities at the 16-year-old National College of Petroleum Studies in Kaduna, Kaduna State.
The Federal Executive Council had recently approved the sum for contract awards by the PTDF for the project, which upon completion would be renamed as the Institute for Petroleum Policy and Strategy.
