National leader of All Progressives Congress, APC, and former Governor of Lagos State, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, Governor Akinwunmi Ambode, Chairman Lagos APC chapter, Chief Henry Ajomale, and other party chieftains are expected to convene a crucial stakeholders’ meeting today, to resolve the internal crisis generated in the build up to the just concluded council polls in the state, among others.
It was gathered that the forum taking place at APC State Secretariat, in Acme, Ogba, was called at the instance of party leaders. It is meant to address anti-party activities of some members towards the council polls.
Important decisions and appropriate sanctions are expected to be fashioned against any erring member with a view to serve as deterrent.
According to source, the drama created by aggrieved members during and after primary elections greatly embarrassed the state leadership of the party and it would like to resolve such to end further acrimony.
The stakeholders will also come up with strategy to prevent any ugly situation from arising at the newly inaugurated Election Petition Tribunal set up to handle electoral grievances by political parties as regards the conduct and results of the council polls.
