Lagos Gov pledges support for  Blind Football devt

The Lagos State government has pledged to support Blind Football development which debuted recently in the country with an Inter college  football competition for the blind.

Disclosing this in Lagos, Chairman/Founder Gbadamosi Olayinka Light Foundation, Mr Yinka Gbadamosi said the Governor, Mr Aninwunmi Ambode  pledge his full support for the development of the Blind Footbal competition during the maiden edition of the competition which held in Lagos.

While thanking all that graced the maiden edition of the competition which took place at Rowe Park in Yaba, Lagos, Mr Gbadamosi promised Nigerians and blind students in particular that the competition would be an annual event to improve the abilities of the blind in the society.

“It is to further unify the blind with other members of the society, create a means of livelihood for our blind citizens and ensure Nigeria’s participation in global sports competitions for the blind especially football,” he stressed.

At the maiden edition, Mr Gbadamosi disclosed that Federal Government College, Ijanikin blind boys beat their Kings College, Lagos counterparts 3-1.
