Over 100 Secondary Schools from all Education Districts in Lagos State will participate in the second edition of Scrabbulympics which begins October 28th.
Event sponsors Fryda Nigeria limited said the scrabble competition was their own way of contributing to the revival of the sport in Lagos State.
The MD of the company,Dare Alao stated that the aim of the competition was also to ensure students improve in English language. ‘’ The decline in the education sector is worrisome and we have decided to take this approach in our own little way to contribute to the society’’,
Alao further explained that the success recorded during the maiden edition last year motivated the organisation to bankroll the second edition and assured that this year’s edition will surpass last year’s edition.. The opening ceremony which comes up on Friday, October 28th in Lagos will witness the unveiling of the new Scrabbulympics Mascot & the launch of
Randle Senior School,Surulere,Lagos emerged the winner of the inaugural edition last year.
