Gov. Yahaya Bello of Kogi has advised Nigerian youths to take advantage of the newly introduced Student Loan Scheme initiated by the Federal Government to acquire university education.

Kogi State Governor, Yahaya Bello, has cast his vote at his polling unit 11 located in Okene Agassa.

The governor also reiterated the state government’s commitment to cooperating with the Armed Forces in ensuring a peaceful election and level playing field for all contenders.

He called on the people of the state, particularly in Kogi Central where he comes from, to accept the court judgment and remain law abiding.

Governor Yahaya Bello of Kogi State, yesterday, in Abuja, clarified that the gubernatorial candidate of the All Progressives Congress, APC in the November 11 election in the state, Ahmed Ododo, was not a blood relation of his, as widely perceived.

Governor Yahaya Bello of Kogi State has blamed those he referred to as inherited Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) members in the All Progressives Congress (APC)

“The policy is more or less a policy of confiscation, packaged so beautifully, but Mr. President was deceived. Those that advised Mr. President economically misled Mr. President.”

“That’s why we are here today because Nigerians are suffering. As a result of this CBN muddle-up cashless versus currency redesign. That’s why we are here. And, I and all the governors want to urge all Nigerians that we’re all suffering.”

The court said it would consolidate all the cases, though it declined to extend the ex-parte order that barred FG from implementing the new monetary policy that was introduced by the Central Bank of Nigeria, CBN.

The two governors arrived the court room around 8:30am in company of their supporters and top government officials.
