Leaders of thought in Awka, the Anambra State capital, under the aegis of Ozo Awka, have attributed rising security concerns and youth restiveness in the area to the prolonged absence of a town union executive.

The Rule of Law and Accountability Advocacy Center (RULAAC), a non-governmental organization, has commended Anambra State Governor, Professor Chukwuma Soludo, for his decisive efforts to combat crime and insecurity through the newly established Agunechemba security outfit.
