The Federal Government on Wednesday said it was working hard to prevent resurgence of Lassa fever in the country.

The Edo State Government has warned residents of the state, especially those in areas where Lassa Fever is endemic, against self-medication, urging them to visit medical centres for proper diagnosis when they feel feverish.

The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) says it is ready to host the first Lassa fever international conference, in the country.
