The Federal Government has said it was working behind the scenes to ensure the release of 113 Chibok girls.

There was outpouring of emotions, yesterday, as the 103 students of Government Girls Secondary School, Chibok, Borno State, freed from Boko Haram met their parents again.

Ministry of Women Affairs hosted Parents and 106 Freed Chibok School Girls again in Abuja.

As Lydia Pogu and Joy Bishara slept in their beds on the night of April 14, 2014, terrorists were hurtling toward their boarding school in the Nigerian town of Chibok.

Oluremi Tinubu, the Senator representing Lagos Central Senatorial District, said the recent rescue of 82 abducted Chibok schoolgirls was proof of the commitment of the Federal Government to the well-being of the Nigerian child.

The Spokesperson of the Bring Back Our Girls Group, Mr Sesugh Akume, has said the reunion of 82 Chibok girls with their parents was a milestone.
