The troops of 7 Division, Nigerian Army, have killed scores of Boko Haram terrorists who attempted to attack Gubio town, the headquarters of Gubio local government area of Borno State.

The military on Thursday, disclosed that 80 Boko Haram terrorists have surrendered to troops prosecuting the war against insurgency in a land mark event in Bama, Borno State.

At least 1,600 people have been killed in the Boko Haram conflict since the start of June, taking the civilian death toll to some 3,500 this year, Amnesty International said on Wednesday.
