ABUJA—As the dust raised by his declaration of being sidelined by the present administration is yet to settle, former vice president and chieftain of ruling All Progressives Congress, APC, Atiku Abubakar, has asked President Muhammadu Buhari’s government to urgently fulfil its promise of providing adequate security for all Nigerians.

ABUJA—FORMER Vice President, Alhaji Atiku, weekend in Abuja, took a swipe at state governments for abandoning the country’s law giving permission to them to implement free education to secondary school level.

Former vice president and a chieftain of the ruling All Progressives Congress APC, Atiku Abubakar, has asked members of the political class, especially those of Adamawa extraction to first fix its politics before attempting fixing Nigeria.

In the heady days   of the dawn of the 4th  republic when governor elect of Adamawa state, Atiku Abubakar, was forced to consign that office to the dustbin of strategy in order to take up the PDP’s vice presidential ticket that would catapult him to Aso Rock; things appeared to be rather straightforward. Musa Yaradua, great friend and ally of General Olusegun Obasanjo, was also the political godfather of Atiku. Political analysts had considered it only fair that Yaradua’s godson would govern in his stead, in the country for whom he died.
