AFTER a marathon meeting between  members of the Academic Staff Union of Universities and Federal Government over the on-going strike, the union has said the Federal Government failed to make fresh offer on funding for the revitalisation of public universities in the country.

AS the skrike action embarked upon by the Academic Staff Union of Universities, ASUU, clocks nine weeks today, some concerned stakeholders in the sector who are apparently frustrated by the lingering industrial action, seek for a fixed base system where government  will  establish education loan and every undergraduate pays between N300,000 and N400,000 per session

The National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS), has pleaded with the Federal Government to address  the grievances of Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU), to ensure commencement of academic activities in public universities.

BENIN CITY – THERE is disagreement between the management of Ambrose Ali University (AAU), Ekpoma in Edo State and the school’s chapter of Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) over the decision of the management of the school to open the school for academic studies.

THE Federal Government, yesterday, failed in its efforts to convince the Academic Staff Union of Universities,ASUU,to end the ongoing strike despite initial matching order for its representative at a meeting with the lecturer body to that effect.
