Earlier today, the President of the Senate, Dr. Abubakar Bukola Saraki held a press conference to address yesterday’s invasion of the National Assembly by the men of the Department of State Security (DSS). In his address, the Senate President decried the use of security apparatus to perpetrate unlawful activities capable of endangering our democracy. He further called for a full investigation into the NASS invasion and thanked Nigerians and members of the international communities for their prompt reactions to the invasion of the National Assembly.

ACTING President, Yemi Osinbajo is currently meeting behind closed-doors with the acting Director-General of the Department of State Services (DSS), Matthew Seiyefa and the Acting Chairman of Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, Ibrahim Magu at the Presidential Villa, Abuja.

The Senate President, Dr. Bukola Saraki has, Wednesday, held a press conference where he condemned Tuesday’s invasion of the National Assembly by armed operatives of the Department of State Services, DSS. Saraki, during the speech, said there is a government within the President Muhammadu Buhari-led government that acts against the true change Nigerians voted in the administration in 2015.

THE Presidency Wednesday said that President Muhammadu Buhari was aware of the termination of the appointment of Lawal Daura by the Acting President, Yemi Osinbajo.
