The President and Chairman of Council of the Computer Professionals Registration Council of Nigeria (CPN) Ibrahim Tizhe, has confirmed participation as the Chairman of occasion at the ground breaking debate on the brunt of the global economic meltdown on the nation’s ICT industry.

The telecom sector in Nigeria has attracted over $18 billion investment in the last eight years on account of predictive regulatory environment and supportive government for a deregulated telecom industry.

MTN Foundation (MTNF), last week, handed over 100 housing units of 2 bedrooms each with construction cost put at N117 million to Habitat for Humanity to manage. This according to the Foundation was geared towards assisting the Federal Government in its efforts at addressing the increasing problem of housing in the country.

Nigerians have been enjoined not to discriminate against those living with down syndrome in the society. The Executive Secretary, MTN Foundation limited, Ms. Nonny Nduka-Eze gave the charge during a seminar organized by Down syndrome Association of Nigeria in partnership with MTN Foundation to kick off the 2009 awareness week in Lagos.
