Minister of Sports and Chairman of the National Sports Commission, Engineer Sani Ndanusa has pricked the conscience of the Super Eagles to use Sunday’s 2010 World Cup/Nations Cup qualifier against the Carthage Eagles of Tunisia, to exorcise the ghosts of their failure to reach the 2006 edition held in Germany.

MAKURDUI– As the Super Eagles of Nigeria confront the Carthage Eagles of Tunisia in a crucial world cup qualifier on Sunday, a one time striker of the national team, Moses Kpakor has urged the players to approach the game with all sense of national pride, extra determination and courage in order to overcome their opponents.

In addition to sponsoring the man-of-the-Match award in Sunday’s cracker between the Super Eagles of Nigeria and the carthage Eagles of Tunisia, official candy of Nigeria national teams in football, Tom-Tom has mobilized 400 students from diverse backgrounds to cheer the Eagles to victory against their opponents.

Former Super Eagles player, Ademola Adeshina has advised the chief coach of the Super Eagles, Shaibu Amodu and the entire team not to entertain any fear against the Carthage Eagles of Tunisia even as he warned that tomorrow’s match is not one to be toyed with.

Former Super Eagles defender, Uche Okafor has warned the Super Eagles not to underrate the Carthage Eagles of Tunisia in tomorrow’s World Cup/Nations Cup qualifier holding at the Abuja National Stadium because “we are playing on our home soil.”
