COMRADE Michael Tidi, an activist, a chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, in Delta State and Itsekiri National Youth Council,INYC, presidential aspirant, says he will ensure that the Itsekiri youths are repositioned for the development of Iwereland and Nigeria. Tidi is hopeful to emerge the President of the INYC, . He also speaks on other issues.

The idea behind the establishment of model colleges by the Lagos State government, was to provide a comprehensive residential education programme for students.

Both schools in focus are under the Badagry Education district. One of six educational districts in the state. The schools are Iworo-Ajido Model College and Kankon Model College.

A couple of years back, Saturday Vanguard reported the activities of Reverend Rowland who was running a gay Church underground in Lagos, Nigeria. The Church called House of Rainbow was situated at No 36/38 Yakoyo Street, Ojodu Berger, Lagos. Reverend Roland sometime ago reportedly appeared on Cable Network News, CNN, where he proudly talked about his Church of gays.

Few days ago, President Jonathan gave assent to the bill that criminalises same-sex relationships in the country putting paid to all the hullabaloo about gay legal rights in Nigeria. The activities now attract 14 years in prison. The law also prescribed a ten-year jail term for membership or encouragement of gay clubs and groups. Hitherto, members express their belief in the open with pride. To them, GAY means God Accepts You, God Adores You and God Affirms You; where DIVA means Divinely Inspired Victoriously Anointed.

Just as we are about to go to bed with the production of this edition of Saturday Vanguard, Gay Reverend Jide Macaulay, Founder and Project Director of House Of Rainbow Fellowship wrote to Saturday Vanguard, describing the new anti-gay law as one of the harshest laws in the world, adding that the LGBT-community now lives in fear of arrest and violence. The letter runs thus:
