M rs Ify Akerele is the immediate past Director-General of the Nigerian Chamber of Shipping, an affiliate to the International Chamber of Shipping. The former president of Women in Shipping and Trade Association, member and Ambassador of the Women in Maritime Africa, Akerele is still quite active in the Maritime sector.
