An eight man gang of armed robbers terrorizing the Federal Capital Territory Abuja, Kogi and Kano States, whose main informant was a middle-aged woman known as Hajia has been smashed by the police. Crime Guard gathered during the week, that the gang had links with Kogi State notorious political thug, Zakeria Yua Isiaka, who was arrested recently by operatives of the Inspector General of police Special Intelligence Team, IRT on the Okene-Akure Expressway.

The name Terwase Agwaza is a household name in Benue state. The renown militant leader came into prominence few years ago in the Sankera axis, precisely Gbishe and Tor Donga areas of Katsina/Ala local government area of the state.

No fewer than 474 suspects have been arrested by the Benue Police Command within three months for various crimes in parts of the state while five kidnap victims were rescued. It was a pitiable sight last Wednesday, October 26th, when vigilante members from Emuhun community in Uhunmwode Local Government Area of Edo state who rescued the abducted wife of the Central Bank of Nigeria governor, Mrs Margret Emefiele, stormed the Nigeria Union of Journalists’ (NUJ) secretariat in Benin city alongside the family of one of their members, Mr Gabriel Okorare, who lost his life during the rescue operation.
