WARRI—SUSPECTED armed robbers have shot dead Mr. Christopher Timinimi, brother to Mr. George Timinimi, former Commissioner for Transport, while reversing his car near Idiaregbe Junction, Okere/Ugborikoko Road in Okumagba Layout of Warri. Timinimi was later rushed to a nearby private hospital, where he died.

LAGOS—Tragedy struck, Tuesday, at Akowonjo area of Lagos as an unidentified policeman in mufti allegedly shot a tricycle (Keke Marwa) operator to death. It was learned that the policeman boarded the tricycle at Kareem Laka Street en route Unity Estate, but was held down for some time due to traffic gridlock.

27-yr-old generator repairer stabs security man to death

A 27-year-old generator repairer has reportedly stabbed one Tochukwu Ejika, a security man, to death in Lagos. The suspect, identified as Abimbola Azeez, who is from Ikire in Osun State, reportedly stabbed the victim several times on his belly during a misunderstanding in God’s Own Estate, Ijanikin. Vanguard learned that the suspect was on his way out of the estate when the Chief Security Officer accosted him at about 8p.m. An exchange of words followed, which degenerated into a fight.

A 24-year-old trader, Chinedu Eneje, who fled from the Northern part of the country in order to save his life from the onslaught of the dreaded Boko Haram insurgents, has, unfortunately, been killed by armed robbers.
