Paw-Paw’s screen twin, Chinedu Ikedieze popularly known as Aki was one of the distinguished Nigerians who were accorded recognition last Thursday by the Federal Government. A gesture which generated controversy as many stakeholders in the movie sector blamed the government for failing to extend the same treatment to the other actor.

I embraced the Theatre in 1956 and I chose to be Agbako (Misfortune) in movies because I wanted to drive home a point that bad and good go together. As there are bad people so there are a lot who are wonderfully good.

About 45minutes later, one of the officers came and interrogated me about who I was and why I was loitering. By then one of my friends had called the Lagos State Police Commissioner who called the Area Commander and all of that. Eventually, the Sergeant who led the patrol team was detained.

So far so good, the journey have been memorable. I’m a very happy man and my friends can attest to this claim. But generally, life has not been easy given the dwindling economic situation in the country. Few days ago was exactly eight years my wife passed on.

Since Nollywood has ignored the need to celebrate our living heroes through the medium of the tube, Hollywood has risen to the occasion to do so.
