After hosting the awards for three consecutive years without any corporate sponsorship, this year’s Africa Audio Visual Awards (TAVA), promises to be different as three global brands led by Samsung have endorsed the awards.
Other brands include UAC, Gossy water, National Lottery Regulatory Commission and five international partners amongst who thers have thrown their weight behind this year’s TAVA awards.
The awards night billed to hold on the 31st of this month, at the Banquet Hall of the National Arts Theatre, Iganmu, Lagos, according to the organisers, will be graced by the who-is-who in the Nigerian motion picture industry.
At a joint press parley, held during the week, the brand manager of Samsung, said the company decided to be part of this year’s TAVA because of what the awards represent in Nollywood; celebrating the harmony of perfect sounds and pictures.
Samsung, according to the company’s brand manager, will be in charge of audio-visual projection during the event.
Organiser of the awards, Mr. Okechukwu Ogunjiofor, while speaking during the event reiterated his resolve to use the platform of the event to set standard in the industry.
According to him, a total of sixty four entries were received this year, a sharp drop from the record set last year when more than a hundred entries were submitted from across the continent.
However, unlike the previous editions, this year’s TAVA will be the height of entertainment as top musicians and comedians are lined up to thrill guests on D-day.
The TAVA awards boss said “what makes this award different from other awards is that it is a platform created to harmonise all aspects of story-telling that employ pictures and sounds- Music Videos, Film, Television and Advertising Commercials.
