Kidnapping: A-Ibom takes the lead (2)
If you believe Commissioner Rugbere, you will believe anything. You are clearly not fit to be an Area Boy. With all due respects, the CP, Akwa Ibom can go and say that to the marines. Let me quickly give some reasons, which though not meant to embarrass the CP, but which cast doubt on the ability of his “men already in the bush” to perform. Just a few weeks ago, three kidnappers already in police custody, in Uyo, escaped and have not been caught since by the “men already in the bush”.
The age of flood and natural disasters(1)
Hitherto Nigerians thanked God for not visiting any natural disasters on our country; at least not on the scale other nations have experienced. There have been no tsunamis, no hurricanes with winds traveling at 240 mph; no volcanoes and no significant earthquake.
Aba: Descent to beastiality(2)
The real news was actually buried in what was not written. The man was appointed just a month earlier by the state government to head the Council. Surely, one would assume that the government would have appointed someone with integrity to the post. Was it then a mistake that the accused was selected to head the Council?
Aba: Descent to beastiality
Another woman, had her first son shot before the whole family, after being commanded by evil men to have sex with hs mother and he refused. The woman had to beg her second son to do it to avoid losing him.Now the second son has ran away telling the family not to try to fnd him, there is no security, government just turned away. Please don’t publish my name or no”.
Articulated vehicles or exterminators (1)
If these occurrences were diseases induced by germs or viruses we would have raised a national alarm for them to be eradicated. Since August 15, 2010 when a loaded trailer sent 42 people to early graves, nothing less than 50 others have met the same fate courtesy of the monsters on wheels.
Mrs Patience Jonathan, I doff my hat —1
For the sake of those who might not be familiar with the way trouble started let me quickly summarise. Mrs Jonathan was a guest of the people of Okrika because she is (emphasis mine because this has an important bearing on the case) an indigene of Okrika. As protocol, or “apple polishing”, demanded, the Governor accompanied her and even planned a dinner for her after the visit to Okrika.
Promotion of falsehood on zoning (1)
“Why not “step asideâ€, to borrow the words of another failure, and let Nigeria march to her destiny? Perhaps, his departure might even help to undo the harm done by a cynical former presidentâ€.
Adventures in advising public officials (2)
As usual, his supporters wanted to know if there was something personal in my remarks. They could not, of course, accuse me of tribalism that time. Yar’Adua/Jonathan followed with the unwieldy seven-point agenda; I counseled three – power, roads and resolution of the Niger Delta conflict for the first term and others for the second –if ever there was a second.
Adventures in advising public officials (1)
In the year 1987, after an exhaustive study, personally funded, I sent a detailed report to Babangida’s Minister of Transport (name withheld for personal reasons) pointing out that in a few years, motorcycles (okada or achaba) would become the major means of urban transport on account of SAP.
Jonathan’s record so far (5)
“Of course you cannot know a man completely, his character, his principles, sense of judgment, not till he shows his colors, ruling the people, making laws. Experience, there’s the testâ€.
