An indigenous manufacturer who produced recharge cards printing machine, Everlasting E_Pay Worldwide has said that the machine would financially empower many unemployed Nigerians particularly, the youths who were facing so many financial challenges by giving them something to do thereby reducing poverty and crimes in the country.

The Executive Chairman of the company, Mr Ajibade Oke has disclosed that the introduction of mobile telephones across the country in 2001 has opened a new business opportunities in Nigeria, which included the printing of recharge cards.

According to him, telecommunications operators make huge amount of money daily through the printing and sales of recharge cards. “Currently, all networks put together make a total sum of N90 billion monthly. This means that a lot of money goes through the telecommunications system everyday.

Out of this, operators give out over 6% of the worth of this airtime to distributors and printers of recharge cards. This also means that the more Nigerians are involved in the business, the more financial empowerment goes round to everyone.”

Mr Ajibade who was speaking during a media interaction on Everlasting recharge card printing machines, last week, revealed that so many of small entrepreneurs who have ventured into the business of printing recharge cards were disappointed because of the enormous capital required to start up the business.

He disclosed that the new Point of Sales, POS machine was designed to make it easy for people to start up their own dealership business.

“The Everlasting recharge card printing machine is a special device designed by our firm, JD Kutons Nigeria Limited. The machine is designed to address a number of challenges in the printing and distribution of recharge cards such as the transportation hazards, thefts, power problem.
“It also addressed the problem of printing only recharge cards of an operator that is paid for.

This means that one’s capital can be tied down in the event that people demand those that he/she does not have in stock. Some of these challenges are what Everlasting recharge card printing machine has helped to overcome.

“With our machines, printing of recharge cards can be done from anywhere in the country where there is telephone network that has GPRS technology, which is commonplace in Nigeria today. This means that we have some unique advantages which include little or no transportation overhead and there no need for stocking of printed cards.”

Continuing, the Everlasting E_Pay boss said they have introduced a special system called the floating account that allowed a person with an Everlasting machine to print the codes of any operator in Nigeria, meaning that a dealer wishing to print recharge cards would no longer be required to deposit money separately for codes of different operators.

“Everlasting machine prints cards on demand and as such, one does not need to keep stock at anytime. This means that the dealers money is safe at the banks anytime. Moreover, our system allows owners of the machine to separate between their profit and their capital.

They can buy at dealership price and sell directly to the end users and with a minimum of N5,OOO, a person can sell any of the eight network and any of the denomination at anytime.
