Giving is the culture of Accenture , MD, Accenture Nigeria

Each year Accenture offices worldwide are allocated a Giving budget which complements other community building efforts they embark on; which do not require a monetary exchange for the knowledge or time expended.

In as much a country’s local Giving budget is driven by local priorities, and with the exception of disaster relief and reconstruction, such cash payments are aligned with the overall themes of Accenture’s global Giving program.

Over the years Accenture Nigeria has given financial support to a number of NGO’s that are creating opportunities for members of our society yearning to improve themselves’ through self help initiatives. These include Youth Business Initiatives, LEAP Africa, Junior Achievement  Nigeria, The Nigeria Society for The Blind, The Sickle Cell Foundation  and more recently Hope for Girls, Ray of Hope, United for Kids and the Musical Society of Nigeria.

However, Accenture’s Corporate Citizenship approach is driven by the overarching theme Skills to Succeed which is delivered through its business by collaborating with clients and not-for-profit organizations.

According to Niyi Yusuf, Country Managing Director of Accenture Nigeria, “Corporate Citizenship is a fundamental part of Accenture’s core values and culture. “We like to say it’s part of our DNA.
