According to the chairman of the DFA Mr. Amaju Pinnick the decision to go into voting by the 12 member board of the DFA is as a result of the fact that two prominent Deltans in the persons of ex_international and Super Eagles Captain Austin Jay Jay Okocha and Collins Eselemo have indicated interest in going into the board of the NFF on the ticket of the state.

He added that for transparency and fairness to all interested parties, the board of the DFA has decided to meet at the secretariat of the DFA to elect their candidate.

While disclosing that the board will discus other issues affecting football in the state and the way to move the state Mr. Pinnick said both Jay Jay Okocha and Collins Eselemo are expected to be at the Football House to address the board members on their plans to take the game to the next level if they eventually get into the board of the NFF.
