ERSTWHILE Super Eagles coach, Amodu Shuaibu has gone into hibernation since officials of the Nigeria Football Federation, NFF, dragged the rug off his feet as boss of the senior national team, Green Eagles.

He has maintained a low profile sparking fears that he could rock the boat of the Eagles in the World Cup in South Africa. He went to the rainbow nation and stayed out from the team and their officials.

Many also thought that he would be laughing to scorn after the disgraceful outing of the team but Amodu showed the sportsmanship spirit by feeling like every other Nigerian -disappointed.

Earlier in the week, the only indigenous coach who holds the envious record of qualifying Nigeria for the two world Cups without guiding them to prosecute it – 2002 and 2010 dispelled rumours that he had quit as a coach.

“Coaching is like a General in the army. Once a general, you are always a general. I still have my contract running with the NFA and will know where to go once it expires at the end of the month. Once the contract is over, I will re-define my future and you guys will definitely know”, the outspoken coach said on a Brila radio program.
