TWO of the over 30 victims of the collapsed scoffold in Warri Delta State have died. And fifteen victims of yesterday’s collapsed scaffold incident were discharged from various hospitals where they were rushed to for immediate medical attention.

Four others have been transferred to the University of Benin Teaching Hospital and other private clinics for expert medical management.

The owner of the five storey building who said though the construction of the hotel complex was purely in the hands of various contractors, he was deeply touched by the accident and is doing his best  to provide the best medical treatment for all those who sustained injury at the site.

When Vanguard visited the Warri Central hospital yesterday, some of the victims were seen outside their wards relaxing with some others itching to go back home with the site supervisor chatting with some of them.

Officials of the contracting firms were seen visibly running around all the medical centers were the patients are being treated to ensure that adequate attention is paid to the accident victims even as they persistently appealed to their relations to show more understanding as accident is bound to occur at any point in the day-to-day affairs of man.

It was discovered that so far, only two of the over thirty victims have given up the ghost with the others responding very well to treatment. Vanguard further gathered that the likelihood of being engaged by the owner of the hotel complex in one of his numerous business outfits account for why so many youths throng the building site for any kind of job. It was learnt that that account for why so many people were at site working when the unfortunate incident occurred.
