A week after her abduction by kidnappers in Kogi State, Hajiya Abdulahi Laraba, the mother of the former Chairman of the Nigeria Football Association (NFA), Sani Lulu, is yet to be released.
After making entreaties to those holding her aged mother, the kidnappers, who reports have it are holed up somewhere in the forests of Abia State, have remained adamant on their N200m, ransom fee. They  had rejected the N1m offered by Lulu.

Speaking weekend with Sports Vanguard, the Special Assistant to the former FA boss, Tunde Aderibigbe, said that the Lulu family would not give up on their bid to free their mother from the hands of the kidnappers, noting that efforts were still on to pacify the kidnappers, into releasing Hajiya Laraba.

“The situation remains the same but we are not giving up because we believe that those holding our mother, would listen to the voice of reason and free this fragile woman”, said Aderigbe, who noted that Lulu has maintained a cool head in the face of this unending kidnapp saga.

“Lulu is not distraught at all. He hopes and believes that his mother would be released soon, but he is worried, as others, that his mother, is being held again her will in a remote place by unknown persons. He has begged for his mother’s release”, said Lulu’s aide.
