CHAIRMAN, Board of the Corporate Affairs Commission, CAC, Barrister Jimoh Ibrahim yesterday gave automatic employment to 55 members of the National Youth Service Corps, NYSC who served with the Commission for the 2009/2010 service year, batch B.

The Chairman, Nicon group of companies who spoke during a meeting with Staff/Management of the Commission, also announced the promotion of staff who nwere successful during the 2009 promotion exercise.

A statement signed by the CAC head of Public Relations, Churchill Williams in Abuja Friday, noted that the gesture by the Board Chairman was part of the Commission’s policy of employment.

According to Williams, “the Chairman appreciated the National Youth Service Scheme which was primarily created to enhance the spirit of national pride and patriotism aimed at fostering national integration. He commended the staff for their understanding and support during the initial period of reforms carried out by the Board to sanitize the Commission.

“On the issue of the recently announced salary review by the Federal Government, the Chairman directed the Management of the Commission to appraise  and submit to the Board. He spoke about the global economic melt down and said that some of the measures taken by the Board were to ensure financial stability of the Commission and expressed delight that they were yeilding positive result.

“The meeting he said will be a regular exercise to create two way communication mechanism bewteen the Board, Management and staff of the Commission.

During the meeting, staff raised various issues bothering on their welfare and operations of the Commission.The staff also expressed delight over the meeting which they said will bridge communication gap and also create better understanding.

“One unique feature about Barrister Jimoh Ibrahim, an administrator, a philosopher, politician and a captain of industry, is his focus, integrity,  determination and an unending search for excellence”.
