Uyo—FORMER First Lady of Akwa Ibom State, Mrs. Obongawan Isemin, has died in the early hours of yesterday.
Imoh was the wife of the first civilian governor of Akwa Ibom State, late Obong Akpan Isemin, who ruled the state from January 2, 1992 to December 18, 1993.
Until her demise, Imoh Isemin was a stakeholder of the All Progressives Congress, APC, Akwa Ibom State chapter and a frontline politician and woman leader in the state.
One of her daughters, Miss Uduak Isemin, who confirmed her death to newsmen said, “It happened, it has happened.”
She, however, declined further comments on what led to her mother’s death.
But a close family source said, late Mrs. Isemin was diabetic and hypertensive.
