GTBank/Ogun Principals Cup final sets Abeokuta agog

Football is king in Nigeria, even though the country has again failed to reach the Cup of African Nations finals which will be held in Gabon in January. More than 1,500 youngsters took skills tests in September to get into the Barcelona academy. But the 1,000 euros ($1,000) annual cost was an even bigger hurdle for many. There will be There will be  fireworks today in Abeokuta, the Ogun State capital as the   2017 GTBank and Ogun State Principals’ Cup finals hold at the magnificent MKO Abiola Stadium.

The day’s programme   will feature both male and female finals in what has been termed a bumper package for football lovers in the ancient city.In the female final, Iko Gateway Grammar School, Idiroko will contest for the top prize against Muslim High School, Isolu. In the male category, Pakoto High School, Ifo will trade tackles with Ipara Community Grammar School, Ipara.
