Presidency: Col. Dungs faults zoning

By Taye Obateru

Jos—Former Military Administrator of Delta State and PDP Senatorial aspirant in Plateau State, Col. John Dungs has faulted the insistence of some Northern leaders on zoning of the presidency, calling it a gimmick for perpetual domination.

He told journalists in Jos, yesterday, that the argument about zoning was a ruse as there was nothing like zoning in PDP.

Dungs added that there was no justification for the insistence on zoning by Northern leaders since their domination of the political scene for more than three decades has achieve little for the North in real terms.

He described those insisting on the retention of the presidency in the North by next year as the idea of a cabal.

He solicited support for President Goodluck Jona-than, who, according to him, “God has anointed to develop the North better than any northerner. You (North) had opportunity from independence to date.”
