ENUGU—BISHOP Ginika Obi of the City of Liberation and Comfort ministry Enugu, has been arrested and detained by the police for duping unsuspecting public to the tune of over N500 million.

Enugu State Police Public Relations Officer, PPRO, Ebere Amaraizu who made the disclosure, yesterday, said the suspect was arrested in an Enugu hotel, during the weekend, where he was allegedly taking refuge.

Amaraizu said that prior to his arrest, the Bishop ran a     non profit financial organization, Build Your Generation, where his victims were lured to invest with a hope of reaping bumper financial dividends.

It was gathered that his victims were numerous and with various complaints of huge amount of money swindled from them

Amaraizu said the suspect on noticing that police operatives were on his trail , disappeared to Asaba, Delta state.

“Luck ran out on the suspect over the weekend as he was trailed based on intelligence information to a hotel at Amaechi Road, off Agbani Road, Enugu, where the operatives acting on tip-off nabbed him,” Amaraizu said.

“He is now helping the operatives in their investigations in relation to his alleged nefarious activities.”
