We’ll curb cultism in Delta —OKOWA

ASABA—Governor Ifeanyi Okowa of Delta State has assured the people of Delta of the commitment of his administration to end any form of cultism in the state, stating that no child will ever benefit any good thing from being a member of any form of cultism.

Okowa, who stated this while speaking at a one-day sensitization programme with the theme ‘Cultism and Nigeria Child” organized by the Office of the Directorate of Orientation held at the Ogwashi-Uku town hall appealed to parents to join hands with his administration in stamping out cult activities in the state.

Gov. Okowa who was represented at the occasion by his Chief of Staff, Hon. Tam Bresbi commended the Office of Directorate of Orientation and Youth Development in Delta North in its efforts in the ongoing sensitization programme aimed at curbing youth’s restiveness, cultism and other social devices amongst youths, especially school children in the state.

The Senior special assistant to the Governor on youth and development who is also a Director representing Delta North in the Office of the Directorate of Orientation, Hon. Innocent Esewezie, commended Okowa for his support to the programme, which he noted has been able to sensitize mostly the youths in the state.
