OKPE—TWO members of the National Youth Service Corps, NYSC, and four unidentified travellers were, yesterday, confirmed dead when the vehicle they were travelling in had an accident along the Warri-Benin Expressway.

The accident, which involved a Jetta car and a black SUV, occurred at about 11:30a.m. near Okwejeba Junction in Okpe council area of Delta State.

According to an eyewitness, who spoke on condition of anonymity, “the Jetta car left Effurun on its way to Sapele when it had a head-on collision with the SUV, which was coming from the opposite direction on speed.”

Though the Warri-Benin Expressway is a dualised road, motorists are faced with using single sections of the road owing to some bad spots.
