The Executive Governor of Kogi State, Alh. Yahaya Bello has applauded the decision of the Federal Government on the approval of the construction of the Ilorin-Omuaran-Kabba road project, saying the construction will open up the economy of both Kwara and Kogi State.
The Governor made this known in Lokoja while speaking through his Director General on Media and Publicity, Kingsley Fanwo.

He said the road has been neglected for decades, saying the decision of the Federal Government has underscored the readiness of the Buhari administration to ensure infrastructural development across the country.
Governor Bello said the Kogi State Government will continue to collaborate with the Federal Government to bring development to the Kogi people.
He said the people of Kogi State will continue to believe in the leadership of Mr. President and his determination to fix the myriads of challenges bedeviling the nation over a long period of corruption and misrule, saying Kogi State is already reaping their labour for the All Progressives Congress in 2015.
