In a statement signed on Saturday in Lagos, Senator Ita Giwa said that what should matter most to all Nigerians is praying for an improved health for the president, improved economy and peace for us all especially those in Southern part of Kaduna State. The statement reads in parts:”I am under obligation as a mother and as an elderly person to advise Nigerians on the impropriety of wishing any of our leaders dead.
It is very immoral for anyone to conceive or spread fake rumours about death. God is the creator of us all and in his due time, we all shall transit gloriously. So when anyone especially our President is indisposed, the best thing we can do is to pray for a speedy recovery and not otherwise.”
“The challenges of our dear nation is enormous. We should always pray that God should give our leaders wisdom to be able to lead us out of recession and this economic woes so we can have a stable economy and enjoy prosperity as a people. Let us also pray so that the many killings , kidnappings and other social vices should stop so we can live in harmony and in unity”.
